Betacam SP is a half inch video broadcast format used exstensively by TV stations and production houses. It was the standard of the industry up until recently, but is being replaced by DVCam, DVCPro and Digital Beta.
My advice on getting Mini DV to Beta SP is contact a local production company and ask them what it would cost to dub Mini DV to Beta SP.
