Idea Splinter Cell massive shootout

Hey everyone, I am new here and have been looking for a place to post my work and talk about indie films.

today, I would like to share with you a couple short films I've done. I really enjoy action films and I am looking for tips and tricks to help me along. Feel free to let me know what you like, and what needs work.

And I am aware that he has his goggles on in the day, Im sure you all know the problems of digital filming at night. Pretend he is using Infra Red or something. T.T

awesome locations..
great props
some good shots.. the silhouetted full shot of the fight looks particularly graceful.
I like the VFX of the survalience cam being shot.. that looks good, (a little color correction and blur would blend the cracks a bit more)

Tips.. track your footage so your muzzle flashes and effects stay put when the camera moves..

are you simulating DOF in some of those shots..

The blow up at the end with the palm trees.. looks nice..

The Battle Sceen video was pretty cool. Keep up the good work. I think you are getting there. I think if you shot some of it with slow-mo it would have looked better. Not sure but if was not perfect but was still pretty cool. The other video was good but you can tell the guns are not real. Not sure what to do other than have real guns to add weight and give it the right look. The SFX were ok but maybe could be better. What do you guys think. Overall great job.

You've got some good stuff here Vienna. I particularly liked the Splinter Cell video...it's mostly on target with the sound and visual effects. There are some very nice camera shots and movements in both, and you manage to pull off the chaos of both situations well...though I would have liked some more closeups of the characters during the beginning of the second. It didn't grab my attention, and felt a little too much like unnecessary filler. A shorter duration or the use of tighter shots during that time could help.

The visual effects were pretty impressive as I said, especially the explosion at the end of the Splinter Cell short. Like wheatgriner mentioned though, stick some movements on those gunshots to make them look more realistic. What are you using to create your VFX, out of interest? You've clearly come a long way from wherever you started.

They were mostly captivating shorts and you should definitely keep them going, good work!

I think the splinter cell one is well shot but you need to work on your effects in AE

check out freddie wongs tutorials on realistic gun shots, it will REALLY improve your vids

but well done!
