Motion Track

Me, and my company, is very interested in using Motion-Tracking equipment and that kind of set-up.

Would be interested if anyone else has used it, and in seeing the results they were able to achieve.

Now that I think about it... do you mean "motion capture" where you take real-life movement and capture that into the computer, or "motion tracking" where you take an existing video and use software to track the camera's movement?

Motion Track

Thank you for your replies.

My company designs action-scenes so, at the moment, I am investigating people's results with motion-tracking.

Motion-capture is my own keen interest. I was looking at a system that feeds remotely (ie, a wire-based unit) into a PC. I have been told that I'm looking at stumping up for an Octane II for this opersation, which is what I'll do.

I think there are no boundries with a system like that.

Very interesting.

I can't really comment on the higher-budget solutions since I've never really used any.

This: http://molybdenum-platypus.net/temp/Tests/MTrackPan.mov is about the extent of my tracking abilities. (You'll have to save it to disk. For some reason that particular clip doesn't play well in web browsers.)

Perhaps I'm not understanding what you mean by "Motion Track" ... but maybe you'll find this interesting:
