Film News: Company ends 40-year run as indie studio -- New Line’s 40-year run as an independent studio ended Thursday when Time Warner said it would fold the company into Warner Bros.

That is a damn shame.

Especially when I remember Peter Jackson telling that story of when he pitched Robert Shaye on the LOTR trilogy.
