Question New Hobbie!!

I just recently adopted a 5-month old German Shepherd from our Family friend. I would like to take him for a walk in the park every morning. I'm currently finding a high-quality dog leash for him. Any brand suggestion?

i've never had a problem with any leashes. i don't recommend the retractable ones because it teaches the dog to walk with tension pulling it's collar. you want to teach the dog NOT to pull

Get a harness, not a collar.

I've heard that a dog should be taught to walk beside or behind you, never in front because that tells them they're the master. It makes sense because whenever I see this guy walking his 2 big dogs, they're always pulling him along. He wouldn't be able to control them quick enough if they ever went after a kid.

Question

Thanks for your suggestions, everyone.
Just an update, I came across this leather dog leash when I was searching online. Has anyone of you tried using it on your dogs? It seems sturdy and durable. What can you say about this product?

All of my dogs' leashes were made by a K-9 officer friend out of paracord. Any appropriately sized leash should work fine.

And please pick up after your dog. Lazy irresponsible owners leave their dog poop on the sidewalk by our place all the time. That stuff spreads disease.
