Time for weekend!
Turning 37 tomorrow.
It's not only the why that's missing (and why a lot of these so called "rules" are silly), but two other things I noticed: Why would I take advice from someone who makes terrible films, and why do they explain every tip with 50 seconds of explanation in a list of 15? No newbie is taking this all in and really understanding it, and certainly isn't going to be practicing 15 new things at once. That's not a learning curve, it's a recipe for disaster.

Good luck on your latest work, by the way!

Clickbait really is the curse of the internet. Sadly, it leads a lot of people astray.

Sad, but true.
I've written in depth articles for a huge marketing blog in The Netherlands ("The 1,8 million words videomarketing myth" and "What we can learn from 'This is a generic brand video'"). They got less views than:
"5 Tricks in YouTube you should use", "15 Reasons why blabl;a is cool" or whatever.

Btw, I should translate those articles when I have the time.

Sorry had to rush off. Happy belated birthday.

I know the feeling, I've written the odd article or two for some protest and lobbying groups before, but people would rather be outraged by sensationalist online media. There's no real difference, every is after the views.
