I'm not sure I understand. Filmmakers submit a project in development & if they're accepted, the receive credits to be used in their production?

Hi!

You create a project, then tokenize it, sort of creating a fundraising, like kickstarter, you basically sell tokens to that project, this will create virtual funds which then can be converted to normal money and fund your project. You will retain a percentage of the tokens and they can go up in value, which in turn gets you more funds.
You can also manage other aspects of the project like equipment rental, production crew etc in the future modules. Maybe distribute portion of the generated tokens directly to actors, etc.

And there are certain projects that SingularDTV will directly fund, I don't know the mechanics of this. yet, platform is due to release late summer.

Currently there are several different kinds of tokens, the biggers ones listed here and their values: http://etherscan.io/tokens

all your questions can be answered in more detail in the community https://singulardtv.slack.com

Steep learning curve, when, most of the general public doesn't even understand Bitcoin. You have to explain cryptocurrency before you even sell them on this. Then you have to sell them on cryptocurrency.

You are correct, SingularDTV is in process of creating and publishing videos about this.
I will post them here, once those videos become available.

Here's a youtube video, about the subject for starters..

In short,
Yes, general public invests (using credit cards or other kind of tokens) into your tokens, which you initially make using tokit (not yet released).

SingularDTV funds selected projects also.

I had a pretty hard time just trying to understand this system. Their website really needs a much simpler page right at the beginning explaining it. Words like "crypto currency" & "blockchain" already lose me so I have to go research those things first so it's already lowered my interest. And then people have to make an "ethereal wallet" that has a 12 word keychain or something, which if they lose, then all their tokens are lost? It's hard to see how many people would buy into this. They really need a better marketing department.

SingularDTV has tested the alpha version with 3 different types of users, one of them was totally new to this blockchain technology. Thats why there is going to be support centers where you can call and get help setting up the project etc.

There are going to be demo videos on this also, I will post the links here once those will be available.

Can Blockchain Technology Give Artists More Creative Freedom?

Zach LeBeau, the CEO of SingularDTV, hopes to pave a way for artists to freely display their content. His concept is an entertainment economy with blockchain technology and decentralized computing. He says this would “empower artists and creators with powerful tools to manage projects from development to distribution.”
