Wow this is an amazing film! im curious what your budget was like, and what was used to shoot it?

Well, we used the xh-a1 (without 35mm-adapter or anything alike). And the budget was almost 5000 swiss francs (about 4000 $ at the time)
The budget went for:

Special FX ;)
Set building (the cuban basement in the end was built in a studio)
catering
costumes
TAPES (!)
permissions
expenses

pretty much in that order...
