SXSW Film is now accepting submissions for 2016!

You’ve put blood, sweat, tears and money into your film, and it’s time to meet your audience. SXSW Film is the perfect place to find it!

It’s a great opportunity to discover new talent, fresh visions and future-thinking creativity and we want you to be a part of that! We’re on a mission to find innovative and entertaining narrative and documentary features, short films, music videos, title sequences, and Texas High School short films.

Ready to submit?

Start by reading our detailed and comprehensive Submissions FAQ. Once you have all your materials together, you're ready to start the submission process. Read all the info very carefully, and make sure you have everything you need to send us your film.

Please note some of the changes to our timeline and fee structure.

Anything else you should know?

For the first time ever, we will NOT be accepting submissions on physical media. That means no DVD, no Blu-ray, no VHS, Beta, Laserdisc or anything else you can think of. All we need from you is a link. Again, check out the Submissions FAQ for the tech requirements and all other questions.

Don’t forget, even if you don’t submit a film to SXSW, it's still a fantastic way to acquire valuable experience and knowledge, meet collaborators, learn from experts and get inspired! Registrations for SXSW 2016 will open on August 3, 2015, and the earlier you register, the more money you save and the more hotel options you have.
