Glasgow Film Festival 2016

Submissions now open for Glasgow Film Festival 2016!
Regular deadline - 7 September 2015

Glasgow Film Festival will take place 17–28 February 2016 in venues across the city. We are committed to supporting emerging talent and providing audiences with the opportunity to see the best of world cinema, and we're currently on the look-out for fiction, documentary, animation and experimental features to be included in our 2016 programme. Our regular submissions deadline fast approaches! Be sure to get your film submitted at the best value rate before the 7 September deadline.

GFF is fast becoming a major date in the festival calendar, with many UK distributors and exhibitors attending who could bring your film to market. Perfectly placed in February as a launch pad for spring and summer releases, GFF provides a high profile platform for film professionals, introducing some of the best new films to the UK's discerning audiences, film industry and press. Films selected through the submission process have played to enthusiastic crowds at Glasgow over the years and gone on to secure wider distribution.

Four submitted films were screened at GFF15, including Wasted Time, Family Goldmine, Life's a Beach and Maya the Bee Movie.

"We were over the moon when we got selected for the Glasgow Film Festival 2015 and Glasgow didn't disappoint – we had an amazing time!" John Baker, Director of Life's a Beach

"Being from Glasgow and having a Glasgow based film selected, it was a privilege to be a part the Glasgow Film Festival 2015. A great showcase for inspiring local young talented people to put there work out there into the world." David Hayman Jr, Director of Wasted Time

If you do miss the 7 September deadline, you can still submit late until 12 October 2015, and with our online only extended deadline until 19 October 2015.
