R.I.P. David Bowie

Music icon and actor David Bowie passed away this past Sunday at age 69. He brought us many fine decades of music and starred in The Labyrinth, The Man Who Fell To Earth, and The Hunger.

R.I.P. great one.

A great artist has left earth...

The Blackstar video is quite a bizarre masterpiece (and a great song as well)

When it was released 2 months ago I just appreciated it for it's great music, concept and visuals. But now it only seems more brilliant: true genius foreshadowing his own departure.

The very last video is even more on the nose: released only 4 days ago:

A quote:
Here’s what his longtime producer Tony Visconti wrote of the death of his longtime collaborator at age 69:

"He always did what he wanted to do. And he wanted to do it his way and he wanted to do it the best way. His death was no different from his life—a work of Art. He made Blackstar for us, his parting gift. I knew for a year this was the way it would be. I wasn’t, however, prepared for it. He was an extraordinary man, full of love and life. He will always be with us. For now, it is appropriate to cry."

RIP

And let's not forget his first hit, that has become a classic that has reappeared in many forms:

An incredibly influential artist & performer in music and a damned good actor as well as influencing fashion and by example positing more positive attitudes about gender. I will miss him terribly.
