Next up: Ingmar Bergman

I've been watching the miniseries version of Scenes from a Marriage. It has some of the best use of close-ups you will ever see.
 
Bergman is one of my personal favorites, and I haven't seen anything that I've disliked by him. But special mention must go to Wild Strawberries, Cries and Whispers and Fanny and Alexander. It's nearly impossible for me to ever pick a "top whatever" list of movies, because I love so many different kinds for so many different reasons, but Wild Strawberries is one of the few films that would always be near the top.

And Hour of the Wolf is certainly an excellent place to start, coming right off Hitchcock! Wonderfully creepy film!
