SAG signatory

I'm working on a short and some actors want me to be a SAG Signatory. I went to the website and felt like I was falling into a black hole. I've worked with a lot of SAG people and they always shrugged off the fact I'm not a signatory. Maybe because I was waving money around. This one is unpaid though. What do I need to do? Is it just a form to fill out? Gawd I hate paperwork...

Down the rabbit hole you go.

There are plenty of articles online (GIYF) that explain the process and what you can expect. If this is the path you wish to pursue, I believe the process is first to contact a SAG office and they'll pair you with a representative and go from there.

I'm not clear what you're asking; other than to say you hate doing
the paperwork. I assume (I know, never do that) you have found
the online signatory process. You need to register and do the
"paperwork". It's quite a bit more then just filling out the forms;
as a signatory to the agreement you will be required to follow all
the Guild rues and there's more paperwork to be filled out.

Or can't you find the registration page?

Yes, I found the website. It doesn't matter, I've already heard enough here that I'm not going to waste my time with SAG paperwork and hoop jumping. No shortage of actors. not to mention SAG actors willing to participate in projects outside the auspices of SAG. Thanks for the info.

Yep. Unless you must have a specific actor becoming a SAG signatory is not worth it.
