watch Music Video "Deadly Beauty" - Before Dawn (Shot in the Desert)

We just released this music video "Deadly Beauty" for a band called Before Dawn. This was shot in the west Texas desert in and around Big Bend National Park.

This was shot with a Canon Rebel T2i w/ the Kit Lens (18-55mm) using a Hoya Circular Polarizer. We edited using Final Cut Pro X.

I'd love to have any and all feedback, critiques, comments, questions that you may have as we are always looking to improve.

Not sure I understand how to embed this properly so I'll provide the direct link first and attempt to embed it as well. This link is the HD link, so you may need to adjust the settings depending on your computer, internet, etc.

Thanks,

Nice work, some very nice photography and interesting story, quite a soothing song too! One thing though, the colour seemed a bit off, i cant really pinpoint it, just seems a bit too bright maybe? But overall really nice :)

Hey, thanks! I appreciate you taking the time to view the video and offer your compliments and constructive criticism regarding the colour.

Also, I'm sure the band will like to hear you enjoyed the song.

song was good. video was good overall. Felt like there was too much panning, and alot of shots one after the other in the same direction when there felt like there could have been a better solution to creating the movement. There was an awkward jump cut around 1:06 as her head drastically changed position.

I'm relieved that you like the song and video overall.

The jump cut at 1:06 was a deliberate choice because we liked the way it looked, but I can see how it could seem jarring and/or awkward.

The panning was an attempt to capture the dreamlike nature of the song and concept while trying to showcase to scenery, but I can see how you would feel the way you do.

I appreciate that you took the time to view and give your constructive critiques.

Thanks,
