watch Experimental Infomercial Splicing/Collaging, exploring cutting and depression

Below is a link to my experimental "film collage," if you will.
I'd explain what it means to me but first I want to hear what other people might get out of it, if anything (it's pretty abstract).

I made this with a janky VHS player with a Wii internet explorer window going into the TV and VHS input at the same time and recording over small bits of the original film. The original film was an infomercial from a few years ago selling knives...don't really know why I had this footage. According to the label, someone recorded over Crocodile Dundee for it! Bastards..
Anyways, most of the stuff has been done analog, but some digital stuff was used. It's hard to be exclusively analog, but I try to use old technology as much as possible.

This is my first post on this website and first film project I guess, although I filmed none of it.
My future stuff will be with Super 8, which you could probably infer from the 16mm painting experiment clip at the end.

Here's the movie without sound (original take, my preferred version):

Here it is with sound (lots of experimental sound clips that I screwed with):

Let me know what you think! It definetly doesn't qualify as a film, but I'm just trying to express myself in unique ways.

And yeah, I cut myself..this is an attempt to get it out in a different way. It helps, somehow.

Watched both versions.

I just don't get it, tbh.

I've seen that informecial many times, though. Always wanted a set of those. :)
