Anybody know of....

In the PDF of legal mumbojumo for Screenwriting one ( here ), Section 23 says you can get permission if under 18, though they have to approve it. Go for it.

(Same provision for minors wanting to do the film portion, too... section 27)

Also, if you have the people to put together a short film, you can get a great workout in structure by trying to get into Channel 101. It's free to enter (but no real prizes), and is held monthly in Hollywood. (Taking this month off, though). People submit from all over for it... and a team of kids (all 14) made it to the live screening last month.

It's run by "in-between work" writers and film-peeps. If your story structure is sound enough, they don't worry about the acting quality or impressive sets so much.
