Fix video game movies by cutting characters and coming up with completely different stories altogether...
I disagree. Imagine a legend of Zelda movie without link or the triforce ?
Nobody is going to watch that, you just alienated the entire fan base.

I totaly agree with the video. And I'm thinking of that approach from little kid. I guess the basic problem is that they write mediocre plots becaous they give too much attention on the "fact" that people will like the movie just because they like the videogame. But this is nonsens. If the story of the game is mediocre, you just have to change it so you make it good.
