What Kind of Glass is this ?

Hi got my hands on some strange glass. After trying to find it on the internet i thought i may try it here. Maybe someone here can help me identify it, and give me a direction to what kind of Rig it belonged (ARRI?)

That's an Angeniuex clamp-on wide angle adapter. I believe it's for an old B4-mount Angie 9-126/14x9, though would clamp onto any taking lens of the same diameter. On the 14x9, it reduces the wide end from a 9mm to a 5.8mm.

Thanks, that helps a lot. i saw a similar lens on some camera shops webiste , but the one i found looked different... Is it true they are in the "couple of grand" category? from what i was looking at just know i see prices between 2500 and 3500 dollar/euros.

For this adapter, or for the taking lens?

I would suggest you could get the taking lens (Angenieux 14x9/9-126) for <$1,000, and this particular adapter could probably be had relatively cheaply.
