BABE WITH A SWORD -- Teaser: Check it out! Please let me know your thoughts...

Hello fellow filmmakers!

I am a filmmaker in Toronto and here is a "draft teaser" from the rough cut of the horror film, "Babe with a Sword", I just shot (rough sound, temp music, etc):

We shot on the RED ONE near Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and it was a total blast. The project is currently in post. If you like what you see so far, please spread the word and post any thoughts you have! We hope to get this movie into festivals and potentially land distribution. If so, the film would come out anytime after Spring 2010. Thank you very much! :)

That was awesome. Looks great, sounds great, very nice casting it seems...fun story.

I'm impressed--doesn't seem like your normal indie fodder. Me likes. The company is based in Toronto eh? Some pretty tight teams coming out of there--I see a lot of good stuff.

I thought it looked pretty nice, along with some good sound, but I had 1 problem.

The editing/timming starting at :26 is just very odd.

It's people getting captured, but it's very slow, And i;m not sure if it's shot that way, or if the editing makes it out that way.
 
Hi CDCosta,

I think I know what you mean.... it may be due to the freeze frames and cuts to black which don't sync with the music perfectly. The transitions are a little inconsistent and meant to be that way, but I can see how it looks slow. Thanks for the comment. I'll definitely keep it in mind.
 
Thanks Rogypro -- are there any tracks you disliked more than others? Any point in the teaser where you specifically thought it could be more exciting?
