Camera best for live streaming

There’s a particular project that requires us to shoot an event for 12 straight hours. What camera is best for this from the BlackMagic line? I haven’t tried any of their products yet but i’m interested to scout out a good one. The event is sports related and the movement is like boxing. I will be posting the project in my site soon but it's still under development. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I wouldn't think blackmagic is ideal for live streaming .. my guess is that you're going to want something that encodes to h.264 for immediate delivery

I would seriously consider one of the new cameras from JVC with built-in streaming. You'll need external power to keep it running for 12 hours.

There is a very nice description of how to stream from one of these cameras, the JVC GY-LS300, from about 3:00 to 4:40 in this "First Look" video from Zacuto:

Here is the UHD image quality you can expect from this camera (please watch at 2160p):

And here is a High Def narrative demo (please watch at 1080p):

You can get the JVC GY-LS300 Super 35mm camera shipped to Sweden from the UK for about £3474.65 or 44,654.80Kr (postage included).

Hope this is helpful and good luck with your project!

Sadly, with the Blackmagic Studio Camera, you still need an external encoder such as the Blackmagic Intensity Pro or Shuttle to get to IP.

The new JVC cameras have the encoder built-in and can transmit via wi-fi to your internet connected phone/tablet/laptop to get the stream to the web.

Alternatively, you can buy a 4G LTE dongle for the camera and go straight to the web from the camera's IP address.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to ditch my camcorder, GH1, GH2 and GH3 and buy the LS300 for this feature alone.
