HV30+REDROCK need some advice

Hey i have a Canon hv30 and have just won a Redrock Micro M2 35 mm Adapter on ebay for 150 dollars. I really want to buy it but i know i will also need a rail system. Will any rail system work or will their be problems with the height of the lens on the adapter and the lens on the hv30 matching up? Also is 12" long enough or should i go with the 18". im trying to spend as little money as posible. Any help is good

crap thats a smokin deal. Any rail system that is standard and provides for a height adjustment for the camera will work.

Alright thanks man. Im new to the whole 35mm adapter thing but another question how does quality of the red rock compare to the regual focus of the hv30?

OK man, thats a REAL basic question you need to understand the BASICS of a 35mm adapter and internalize what it means to be using one. Google is your friend.

Once you can answer the question you posed, then we can have some meaningful chit chat! lol

Quality of the Redrock is about as good as 35mm adapters get. Much more important will be the quality of the lenses you put on it.
