Settings for Zoom H1 with gopro???

I recently bought a zoom h1 after seeing the audio it produced in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sF7dUmEBWlg

I tried it out many times but did not get any good results, here is an example of one of my results: http://www.pinkbike.com/video/391501/

I have a dead kitten wind screen on by the way and I am aware that I will need to edit the audio in post. I have tried and the results came out maybe a little more clear but not much at all.

If anyone has been in a similar situation and has found good settings for "action" please let me know, thanks.

Where/how are you mounting the H1?

In the example it sounds like the recorder was on the rider, not the bike (I thought I caught some clothing rustle); perhaps strapped to his back, head/mics down, where it's out of the wind, catches the back tire on the trail and does not pick up tire "rumble" from the frame.

I did some (very hairy) field sessions recording a Harley; I rode pillory behind the driver with one of the mics affixed to my chest between us to keep it out of the wind.
