-0db audio

Some of my audio peaked at -0. It never went over, nor did it distort but I still wonder, is this to high of a audio level peak?

Technically 0dB is "over" and is distortion. Most digital recorders and other digital audio software/hardware is designed to register 0dB 1-5 tenths of a dB below 0dB. Seems like in this case you may have been lucky and just registered 0dB on the meters rather than actually hitting it. You should listen to the audio file extremely carefully, if you don't have accurate metering software, to make sure you didn't clip.
