Awesome noobie questions!

I'm sure these are total newbie questions, but I've recently acquired my own camera (hvx205) and am in control of a camera for the first time. Should I:

1) ...be shooting in 4:3 or 16:9? I want widescreen obviously. If I'm shooting in 16.9, would I be getting square pixels, as opposed to the 1.5 pixel ratio I'm getting now?

2) ...be shooting in 1080i or 720p? I've read that the interlacing on the 1080i makes the image worse than the 720p.

3) ...be using the 'scene files' on the camera, such as the 'scene cine d'? How's this impacting the image?

4) ...be shooting in 24fps or 30fps?

Thanks so much for any information!

1) 16:9 is more "widescreen" than 4:3.

You sure you have 1.5 pixel aspect ratio? Video is typically 0.9, but then again I'm not terribly up to date on newer cameras. Sounds weird, though.

2) Time to play with your camera. Figure out which you like.

3) Not sure what that is. Is it some kind of system that marks "chapters" or markers, where the camera thinks new scenes start & end? If so, maybe you'd find it useful... maybe not. I've never used that, even on software that has an option to import like that.

4) Play with your camera, as in #2. :)
