Developing character

So far, I've co-written two feature-length screenplays and a short. Before starting the first draft, we had everything figured out with backstory notes, a detailed outline, and scene cards. This prep took us months. The first draft was produced in about a week, or two.

Remember, there's no 'correct' way to write so just start writing. You'll discover your own method as you go.

Aaaanyway, I like the end result with this method, so it's not going to change. Figuring out the title is the worst part. Damn. Yesterday I was sure I had mine: Rob the Mob. But then I checked and 2014... someone was faster.

The more you know, the easier it is to draw from when it comes to your character's struggles and getting over them. I've only done short stories, but have some backstory a few years prior definitely help.
