Were there any movies made from screenplays written by persons without any previous movie industry experience(who never worked in the industry as writing comissioned screenplays or held other positions)? Just screenplays someone bought from people they never heard about before... Are there any such recent examples?

She was an outsider, but as fas as I know, she was asked to write a script based by someone who liked her writing style, eventhough she never wrote a script before.
There might be more people like her, but it is a very very small minority and in Diablo's case, she somehow got noticed and asked to write. So it's not like she wrote a script and it suddenly got picked up.
