watch "Matches" A T2i Lowlight test

This is a little test I shot on my T2i, to test out its lowlight capabilities. I am more than impressed.

All shot in about 20mins!

For best results, go on Youtube, Full Screen, 1080P and take 2-3 Steps back! It will look amazing!

This is me in the video. I did this all by myself, so there are no fancy moves with the camera or so!

I'd appreciate it if you could subscribe :)

Looks good Phil.

I'm no DOP but I'm curious to know what the shutter speed and aperture you shot this at were? I organized my Mum's 60th birthday last night and I was taking some photos of the dinner with my 550D. To cut a long story short there was very little light in the room other than a few lamps and a lot of candles, but it was pretty dingy. I screwed around taking stills and changing the aperture and shutter speed to try and improve the lighting of the images but 80% of the photos I took without flash look terrible. Any advice? I realize that video and stills settings are likely to be different but I'm still curious...

Hey,

I set the ISO at 800
The shutterspeed at 50
Aperture: 3.5

I took some pictures of live gigs and I had great result with the 50mm F1.8 which is the only time I used it. Aperture 1.8, shutter: 1/50th, ISO 400

Perfect images!

Considering I have something in mind for future using this type of idea (someone with a candle in my case), thanks for sharing the settings! Really, some good clean footage here that I can see-now I wanna try it! :)

Well done!
