GoPro cameras incar

Hello,

do you have any experience about using GoPro cameras in film work.

More precisely :

-4 people in a small car
-using 3-4 cameras to capture the whole scene (incar)
-audio will be captured using external device

if I do this and then use external video (outside the car) from DSLR camera, am I able to mix those videos together at all? They both are full hd material but is the image difference huge compared to DSLR.

DSLR video is most likely from Canon 550d + 29mm Pentax manual lens and 25fps and GoPro is 30fps I think?

You don't mention which model of GoPro you plan to use, but you should be able to shoot at 25fps (depending on resolution).

In terms of sharpness and matching shots I would not be worried about intercutting with a 550D.

GoPro HERO is the camera I am planning to use.

It is the new "basic edition" that game availalble.

If not that one, then I will need to buy second hand GoPros, white or silver edition most likely.

I have used a GoPro in a car before. It should be able to capture all subjects in the shot if put in the middle of the dashboard/ windshield. I use a suction cup mount. GoPro does have a setting that is the widest shot but I think it is less High Res so I dont know if thats what you want. Probably the best idea is to shoot in 25fps at High Res.
