Taste is subjective. One man's trash is another man's treasure, right?

I loved the short film, and thought the message was gotten across through an incredibly clever story with good acting and phenomenal technical work... IMO.

What British short do you think should of won?

Taste differs,I am just starting a thread not proposing anything. But I was genuinle surprised that this kind of story structure won the award,I thought it was way overused. Doodlebug was made in 1997 and there were tons after and most likely before. Perhaps it is the only way to create commercially successful short short films?

Taste differs absolutely, but this is definitely not the worst short film I've seen win a major award. Actually, like CPF, I really liked the execution of this- simple idea but very nicely done, and the matchboxes were a particularly fine touch.

The BAFTA shorts award is actually really interesting because it often includes film school projects (I know that there have been several NFTS final films nominated in the past), whereas the Oscars seems to pick up the biggest shorts from the biggest festivals.
