My First Reel: 8 student films in 2 minutes

This is the first reel I've made. It consists of scenes from of my short 8 films from 2012-2013. I made it mainly so that my next reel shows a vast improvement. Anyway, I think it turned out pretty well and I hope you enjoy it.

Feedback and constructive criticism is, of course, welcome but I know these films are far from perfect. Most were made for class or quickly for fun.

The song is Fancy Clown by Madvillain ft. Viktor Vaughn, I hope you like hip hop haha

Onto the feedback...

I would cut out the titles at the beginning, and instead put a title that states your name, and below it, your job. Then go on to show some scenes of IMPRESSIVE work. I like a lot of the work you do, although some of the clips felt a bit filler-y. You also might want to put the names of the film in the bottom right hand corner, along with the position that you had on the film (director, DP, etc.)

Great track, but it didn't suit the reel.... at all.

Although there was some nice stuff in there, so, I'll give you that.

ANYWAY...

thank you for the advice with linking, chimpphobia, I've actually never posted to a forum and reasons like that are part of the reason. anyway very good too know

I'm glad you liked the reel though. I can understand if the song seems strange to anyone but I felt only MF DOOM could communicate the offbeat tone of my work. Maybe it didn't work, oh well. Like I said this is mainly quick projects and whatnot

I agree with ChimpPhobiaFilms about the titles at the beginning and putting the names of the films at the bottom. The reel looked great. Rock on!!!
