I have some super-8 and regular-8 film that I want to get transferred to digital format. There are a bunch of low-end services that do this, but there is one problem with them -- They run all of it through a pulldown mechanism, which makes it impossible for me to work with each individual frame, which I want to do for special effects and other work.
Can someone recommend a company that will take my film, clean it, and digitize it to UNCOMPRESSED Quicktime or other format with 1:1 framing (without using a pulldown) where I can work on each frame individually?
The local service is driving me crazy; they treat my film like I'm taking old films of grandma and want them to put it on a DVD for her to watch -- They even did fade-ins and put MUSIC on it! Good grief! This is despite me asking for exactly what I said above.
I'd appreciate your input here -- A good, reliable service that will clean my film, digitize each frame individually and place it in an uncompressed Quicktime file.
