Here's the thread where we can throw out different casting suggestions.

Here's the main roles, and my current pics as a starting point, feel free to toss out suggestions-

Jason Din Alt - Gerard Butler

Kerk Pyrrus - The Rock

Brucco - Jason Statham

Meta - introduce new actress perhaps, Anne Hathaway would be an unorthodox pick here. Megan Fox is somewhat inexpensive, but can't act.

Krannon - Quentin Tarentino

Rhes - John Goodman
 
Although I love Tarantino's movies, I find him distracting as an actor. He always looks like he's trying to keep up with the other actors.

In my opinion Gerard Butler is too old and too athletic for the role. Jason needs to be young and niave enough to view Kerk's description as a challenge. A muscular greying man who starred in 300 isn't going to look weak enough compared to the Pyrrans.

As for The Rock, it could work, but I feel he might be a bit too young and pretty for the role. He's lived on the hell planet all his life; he should have a weathered looking face and scars. While makeup will help that I feel it could be better with different casting. He's also actually younger than Gerard, which doesn't fit with what I got from the book.

In a previous thread I brought up Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Mickey Rourke. While these are unorthodox choices, let me defend them. We get introduced to Jason as a gambler who enters a casino with money to burn. JGL could pull off the trust fund kid perfectly. He'e also young enough to take Kerk's description as a challenge. With JGL there will be a constant visual distinction on screen between him and the Pyrrans, which I feel is crucial. People aren't going to see a huge difference between the kickass 300 star and the Pyrrans. As for Mickey Rourke, he looks like he's lived through hell. He has an old leathery face that works for a Pyrran who has lived long enough to gain a leadership position.

The Rock played well in Pitch Black. He'd be great :)

And what Dready said.... you cannot go wrong with John Goodman. He's GOLD.
 
I like Mickey Rourke he did good in Iron Man 2 and Expendables. He is acting in Expendables 2.

The truth is you probably would be lucky to get one well know actor. But it is cool to have your dream list. The other issue is timing if they are all ready making other films you may have troubles getting them soon enough.
