I plan on doing interviews as a one-man operation. These are veterans from WWII, Korea and Vietnam. I've found that in doing interviews using my GL2's on camera LCD that they tend to look at me, while I'm looking at the LCD. This makes an unnatural look as they are basically staring at the camera. Can make them nervous as well.
So, I want to buy an external monitor. I'm thinking about a DVD player with A/V inputs, such as the Sony DVP-FX930 as it runs on a battery. Might consider another option as well.
My question is, how to hook it up to use it while recording? I've read the manual and it doesn't address this situation.
