1800p and 720p

Im shooting a short. I will be shooting in 1080p and 720p. In some scenes I will shoot 720 60fps, so I can slow it down in post, by converting it to 24fps. My question is:

Will putting 1080p and 720p clips on the same timeline pose a problem when editing?

Im using FCP

I assume you mean Final Cut Studio 2 (FCP version 6)? FCP 2 is about 10 years old now :)

That version has the Open Format Timeline too, so you should be fine!

Hey, how does this enable you to get slow motion?

Are you shooting 24p in the 1080p, and 60p for the 720p?

Probably by shooting overcranked: shooting 60fps, but the camera will write a file at 24fps, but 2,5 times longer.
For example Sony PMW-EX1/EX1R/EX3 can overcrank. (And I love it ;) )
So according to your software both files are 24fps.
