macro video reverse mount question

since i like to live life on the cheap, instead of buying myself a real macro lens, i decided to buy a reverse mount adapter ring

here's my question: will i be able to take video with this? i only just ordered the ring, and will be able to see for myself in a few days, but i thought i'd ask anyway. I'm shooting on a t3i, and in the end, i'll be wanting to use twixtor to get some ultimate slow motion macro videos. will this work for me with the reverse ring? or to shoot video will i need to connect a lens to the camera the proper way (meaning, of course, that I'd have to buy a more expensive macro lens)?

thanks
