Hi, I'm a newbie too. can't say more. just wanna say hi.

last week i bought a sharp dv digi cam, i am thinking of creating my own short film or a docu. for the start, i don't want anybodys help. my idea is me as the cameraman, actor, producer, director, scriptwriter, etc etc etc.... was anyone pulled this off without getting any help from others?

Ah the mark of a true amateur ;) trying to do everything yourself. What I would say... is don't bother... film is a team medium. Don't really see what everyone is trying to achieve by doing everything themselves! :D

You don't see Mr Spielburg running around trying to do everything himself!

But anyway... welcome to the boards!

You could probably pull of a documentary without a crew (granted it is exceptionally nice to have someone on sound at the very least). Anything dramatic cannot be done well by yourself (as those above have mentioned)

its fun to have ur friends around,i am working on a doucmentary now and i have my friends help out like holding the extra batterys holding the extra camera tri pod ect
