My opinion? Don't know her music (heard some; not really my thing so I didn't go out of my way to hear more), but the loss of anyone, musician, filmmaker, postal worker, etc is a loss.

Well I, for one, will miss her.

In my opinion, there is no other form of art that connects more efficiently with a human heart, than music. Good music goes straight to our emotional core, and Winehouse connected with a WHOLE lot of people, worldwide. If anyone is wondering why we mourn her loss, it's because we take it personally, because her music meant something to us. May she rest in peace.

Addiction is a terrible & tragic thing, made even worse by society's punitive measures and criminal-oriented regard for those suffering a sickly dependence.
