Short Film Idea

I've had an idea I quite like, I don't know what I'd call it but that's irrelevant.
It's basically all done as a series of direct addressing to the camera about a dysfunctional teenager who details his personal situation gradually getting worse, mentioning fights with parents, bad relationship, drugs. Just seems like an interesting thing to try and write, of course it breaks the fourth wall as he'd talk to the audience. I imagine the end he implies, or overtly states he's going to kill himself, as yet undecided.
What do you think?

Too many short films made by young men are about suicide. Go to
any high school film festival and a good 30% are about suicide. The
rest are usually Tanantino influenced.

I think we all need to make our suicide film. I did. Since this is an
idea you like, you should make it.

Interesting way to look at it. I get the feeling a lot could be ad libbing. I think I'd do the acting, see what I can come up with. I'll probably film it in September/October.
I'll naturally put it up here when it's done (: of course it needs a name but that can wait
