I recently got back in contact with a friend who is a Pratt University Film School graduate who built the red eye in the Nikon No More Red Eye commercial and built motion control systems for filming miniatures in the past. He is going to help with the re-filming of the model spaceship. And, we are going to make a new model ship and build in hardware for the motion control filming of the ship next year.
He watched the 22 minute of IC2-GOTH and tells me the actress who played the drunken colonel is terrible and devalues the whole film. I explained the problem we had casting the role and had to end up working with some roles who was available. It is what it is and we cannot re-shoot the actors footage at this point. But, we will fix what we can. He pointed out other minor problems. But, he points to that one actor devaluing the whole film.
He read my script for the next feature and is interested in help us to make that film in the future.
This adds some light in the tunnel of an uncertain future.
