Hello I'm new to the world of film-making and just want to learn cool stuff. I'm mostly a hobbyist in that I only make films on the weekends with my friends who actually do film. I try to ask them for advice and stuff but they're always busy so I'm going rogue and learning by myself.
 
Instead of asking for advice from them you should volunteer to help on their projects. You'll learn a lot that way (assuming your friends are competent :P )
