*Raises Hand*

Hey, i guess i should introduce myself, My name is Brandie I am a third year college student in Alberta Canada studying motion picture arts, which i suppose in many ways makes me quite the n00b child.

Most of my experience up until now has been experimentation, but i am getting to a point, where i am actually starting to put stuff together and soon enough hopefully will be looking for a job in the film industry. I am just joining up the forum so i can learn from some fellow filmmakers and do a little networking. On that note who here is also in Canada?

Anyways, ideally someday i would like to be a screenwriter, or storyboard artist- like everyone else i also have that BIG dream of directing.

Outside of Movies, and film, my interests are web design and graphic design has well has music and literature.
My favourite sound in the entire world is the harmonica.

that is all.
peace.

I'm from Canada (Toronto), but I prefer banjo to harmonica, LOL.

Well, you've got the right font for a screenwriter... LOL... just keep learning and plugging away- even AFTER you think you know what you're doing. Persistence is key.

Welcome Grasshopper!

I'm one of the audio guys here.

Always remember:

"Sound is half of the experience"

"Old man, how is it that you hear these things?"

"Young man; how is it that you do not?"

My favorite instrument is the pipe organ...

Spatula, are you in film school or do you work in the industry... what projects are you involved with?

Nope. Comedy college drop out (seriously, Humber has a comedy course and it SUCKED) who couldn't afford film school so went the DIY route (which is more fun anyway and less homework). I've done a few industry gigs in various crew roles through the years and work with TIFF in theater ops annually, but I prefer the "independent" side of things... as in, I've written, acted, edited, directed and produced a large volume of shorts and sketch to date. Unfortunately our website is down and I'm looking at relaunching, but most of my stuff is on youtube (user: spatula007) and floating around the net.

My latest project is actually my directorial feature debut- a film called Mushroom Zombies which I am in the middle of production. The last feature I was involved with was called Macbeth 3000: This Time, It's Personal and was something we did while still in High School. More of a... ahem... learning experience, LOL... but it's online at openfilm.com
