For better or for worse, I bought this camera today.

Here are reviews on it.

It was in stock. And, the HD video modes impressed me. In addition to its new still capture capabilities, the EOS 60D features Full HD video capture at 1920 x 1080 resolution with selectable frame rates of 24p, 25p or 30p. Native 24p recording helps videographers achieve a more cinema-style look for their footage without the need for post-processing.

Are there any other good lens I should look out for?

To my 7D, I have the Samyang 14 mm f2.8. Very nice and affordable.

I also recommend searching for older Nikon analogue lenses. I've got a 50mm f1.8 and a 28mm f2.0 ,old Nikons. Just use adapter to fit them. Amazing results for the price.

Outside of lenses, I recommend Cinestyle's Color profile for a more flat, dynamic picture and Magic Lantern for more operational options. These are both free software.

i see what you are trying to do here... and yeah you are right, it very much depends on how someone use available light fixtures and blah blah blah. techspecs have nothing todo with personal skill, i think we covered that a milion times.

Okay guys.

Two lens I just bought for my Canon 60D yesterday are:

Canon EF 50mm F 1.8 II
Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC with a 2 year warranty.

I also picked up a Canon camera bag for $40 that can fit 2 cameras, 4 lens, a tripod, and various accessories and it is made like a backpack with straps.

I had to watch the budget. The lens maxed out the budget I had for lens money.
