Honored to be here, a student again. I have found my self suddenly in the midst of a powerful story and the making of my first film, a documentary. The story is there; I am poised before it like a coiled rattler, eager to work some magic. All that's missing is, well, the camera.
I've read through the myriad posts on cameras and am still a bit confused. Is there not some sort of comprehensive guide out there which simplifies the list of available cameras?
I've looked at the Canon HV-Series stuff and know I need higher-quality technology. For starters, I have $2K US. Suggestions, por favor.
