Wizard World is proud to present the first annual Wizard World Film Festival, a touring film festival for the independent filmmaker who wants to share his or her vision with pop culture aficionados. Our goal is to showcase the talent of local, national, and international filmmakers in all genres.
The Wizard World Film Festival will be held in conjunction with the Wizard World Comic Con tour, a pop culture tour across North America that celebrates graphic novels, comic books, movies, TV, gaming, toys and technology. It features celebrities, artists, creators and events such as premieres, gaming, panels, workshops, costume contests and more. The Film Festival will take place during each Comic Con event on the tour in a separate space within the venue.
Over $3,000 in prizes will be awarded to the top films in each city and the Official Selection and category winners will be screened at each event remaining on the 2013/2014 Wizard World Comic Con tour. These films will also be advertised on the Wizard World website (over 800,000 views monthly) and social media outlets.
