Question Make Vs. Buy FAKE Barbed Wire?

Hey all, just a question- for my upcoming horror film, we have a scene in which a character has to "climb" a ladder made out of barbed wire. The ladder will only be about 5-7' tall, but we are on basically a no budget here. my question is, should i make the barbed wire myself and spend lots of precious time and possibly end up with crap, or should i buy it somewhere" If the answer is buy, then where is a GOOD and REPUTABLE place to get fake barbed wire for DIRT CHEAP???

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Idea Barbed wire without danger

Hello,

I made a day of the "forgery" barbed wire.

Soft between two posts a length of rope hemp or sisal and make a knot with the rest of rope all 2 " by letting exceed 1/2 ".
Then take a can of aerosol paint silvered, paint l the whole and let dry ( It is the paint which sticks knots definitively).
Then with bombes of paint Brown, black and other ... to make dirty barbed wire, to him given a rusty aspect.

A few feet that has is perfect! But in close-up plan one guesses the trick.
