watch Portal to the Past

Hey guys,
I'm new to this forum, I was wondering if you could take a look at this documentary I am working on and provide some critiques. It's called Portal to the Past. It details copper mining in colonial America and the discovery of a lost copper mine dating back to the early 1700s. I am in an abandoned mine exploring group and would like to use it on their website. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Got to 7 mins, gotta pick up my mom from the train station, but so far so good man. Very entertaining, and it had me hooked to see what happens next. Don't want to ask any questions because I feel like they'd be answered if I finished the video, but you should post this on some mining forums, I know the location is secret but this is good stuff. I admire your passion for this. Only critique I have would be the titles in the beginning. They seem basic and some graphics related to the subject of mining, copper, would look great for a title. I'll comment again once I finish!

We did have someone stay on the outside in case something happened as we were the first people in there for possibly 150 years or more! We also had a flame safety lamp that coal miners use to monitor the oxygen level in mines.

Just started it off and watched a few minutes.

I'd say just keep on doing what you're doing. It's good.

If you wanted critique, this would be to create something with better shots (too late now) and more shots going back to the past. Otherwise, it's good!

Hey guys thanks for watching this and giving me your feed back, I appreciate it. Here is the current version of the video after doing some revisions

Also I made a few more mine exploring videos, sort of of a series for our website. I think I am getting better shots and audio and my editing is improving. Please let me know what you think!

Thanks, Mike

I changed my direction with this a bit and decided to make one video just about abandoned mine exploring in general. Instead of focusing on the history of the mine I'm focusing on different people in different regions that all enjoy going underground and rediscovering these forgotten places. Here is a video from a couple trips to Pennsylvania to explore a coal mine abandoned in the early 1900s.

Also I got a canon c100 with a 17-55 f 2.8 lens. This along with a cheap led light panel is a perfect combination for filming in the pitch black of the coal mine.

The teaser looks great and I look forward to watching the whole thing.

Also I grew up not far from you (Newtown/Bethel) and know a bunch of guys from Monroe.

Nice. Just started watching it.So ,Not in a place to give a full review or response yet.But i like the use of Ken Burns effect in your documentary. Also the font selection and BGM.They are so suited to this doc.
