Made this for a film contest about distracted driving.

Shot on a canon 7D with 50mm 1.4, 35mm 2.0 and 15mm 3.5 lenses. Composited in after effects, editied in Premiere Pro CS5, colour graded with Magic Bullet Looks and de noised with Neat Video Pro plugin.

We shot all the car interiors in my driveway with greenscreen and a lighting package to simulate the lights and cars going by.

for the ending car crash shot we shot the background plate starting the cars really close together, then backed up. the footage was then reversed in post.

the making is quite good..I'm impressed with the lighting as well.. smooth camera-work so far..the only thing that bothers me is not having any twist..well, this could be a amazing social ad, but not a short film.. I mean, if there's no film with a good and strong story or if it's all about making, u SHOULD win...

Very good production IMO, a little predictable but still effective. I wonder how it would have sounded if the music was played backwards with the backwards video, then played forward. Good luck.
