psychological thriller**
Darkslide is about a young musician with Asperger's syndrome named Damen Krow. He desperately wants to reach people, but has great difficulty in communicating with anyone on a personal level. One day, he meets a talented young artist named Naomi Sinclair who shows him what it is really like to feel a human connection... Then one day she completely disappears from his life and he suspects kidnapping. He must overcome his fear of social interaction and his own shortcomings or forever be lost in the dark void of obscurity.
Through crisis and occurrences in our life we often evolve or change into different 'versions' of ourselves. Depending on the choices and decisions we make which lead us down different pathways on our timeline. This film supposes that alternate timelines of ones life are all happening concurrently and sometimes bleed into each other creating dream-like unreality within reality.
We feel that by having the lead character a person with Asperger's syndrome without revolving the plot around it allows us to explore different possibilities. We feel that the film can be taken to the next level and surpass the generic idea of what it is to have a neurological difference.
