I have a hi-8 camcorder and plan to produce short films with it until I get a new one, but I want to find some film examples of this being done. I mean some analog films that haven't been edited with effects and music and stuff. I have no way of doing this and I would like to see some examples of this being done with great results. Anyone know of some tips or examples for Hi-8 filming or analog filming??

James Rolfe (the angry video game nerd) used to film on analog and has great information on his video cinemassacre 200 (http://www.cinemassacre.com/new/?page_id=10)
He's done tons of videos on VHS, and shot a movie called Kung-Fu Werewolf from Outer Space (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bednRL-iZGE)
He shot everything in a linear format, which is what you have to do with a hi-8 camcorder as well. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
ALSO: I advise that you just purchase a pinnacle dazzle and use an analog cable in order to put your video's on your computer in order to edit them, add music, and text effects. I did this in multiple videos of mine and they worked out fine.
