The Jaxon Film Fest's Early Bird Deadline Quickly Approaching For 2013 Season

Filmmakers are encouraged to take advantage of special savings. By submitting before March 31, 2013, submissions can be made without charge. Submit films early and save.

The Jaxon Film Fest’s early bird deadline is quickly approaching. March 31, 2013 is the final day to take advantage of Early Bird Savings. After that the price for entry will go up a smidge.

Says David W. King, the film fest director, "We learned from our experience last year (our first year as a film festival) that many filmmakers are simply strapped for cash. We don't want to cause a financial strain for any one. So, although our Early Bird deadline is quickly approaching, entry fees until the film fest this year are set deliberately low (and will be always) so that every one can afford them. Nonetheless, filmmakers are encouraged to submit early."

Mission Statement
The Jaxon Film Fest supports and celebrates the art and entertainment of film in all its forms. Through screenings and associated events, the festival aims to present a wide spectrum of filmmaking – feature films, documentaries, animation, short films, experimental, student work, big budget, micro-budget, trailers, whether of a Michigan, non-Michigan, or international focus.

The Jaxon Film Fest offers filmmakers the opportunity to learn, grow and exhibit their films and bring audiences and filmmakers together to better enjoy the art and fun of filmmaking

The festival will offer attendees quality films expanding their knowledge of cinema and enhancing their appreciation of the filmmaking process. Film professionals and the interested public will have the opportunity to gain industry knowledge through interaction within a festival environment.

Now Several Ways for Exhibition
Selected entries will have a variety of different ways in which to be exhibited. As well as being sought to display at the film festival in September, films will also be exhibited as part of the Jaxon Film Fest's "Irregularly Scheduled Sunday Matinees." This series will be held at the historic Michigan Theatre, Jackson, Michigan. This series is being presented building up to the film festival. There is also plans to create a weekly television program in which films will be shown.
